Cake Pops

These are the result of my first attempt of making cake pops. It was a nightmare! I made them the old school way and made a chocolate cake, crumbled it, mixed everything with jelly and then formed the cake pops. But these horrible pops kept falling from the stick into the chocolate! From originally 32, only 15 made it into the bouquet of cake pops for my friends birthday!:)

Fruity Pastry

I made these shortcrust pastries for our today's visitors, my grandparents. I made the base yesterday evening, since shortcrust pastry is better the day after. These tiny tarts are filled with a low fat vanilla cream and topped with banana, raspberries, grapes and mango.

Dark Chocolate Cupcakes

So, I made these cupcakes with the help of Nigella Lawson! I used her devils food cake recipe and they came out perfectly! I never in my whole live had a cake that was as moist as these little fellas. However, I made a different topping than Nigella Lawson, this one is buttercream and a lot of vanilla.

Homemade Macarons

After making my own Macarons I can say it is quite easy! I just needed, let's say, like four attempts and since then they always come out perfectly! These ones are filled with a ganache made of dark chocolate.

Banana pie

Although this one looks like an apple pie it is in fact a banana pie topped with buttery crumbles.

Snowballs

Since these guys are covered in cream I called them 'snowballs'. Every time a friend comes over I make something nice for them. So, I made these for a pregnant friend, the dough is marzipan flavoured and filled with some cherries, the topping is just cream and some cracked nuts.

Crumble

So this is a little crumble. Usually they have a sugary icing on top, but I made some with white chocolate as well. Even though, they seem simple, the process of baking these is really time-consuming, since, the base is made with yeast.

Rosie chocolate cake

My cousin loves to eat cake and sweets and everything sugary, so I made her this little thing. It's chocolate all over, inside and outside. The dough is with a lot of cocoa and it is also filled with a chocolate buttercream. The only thing that isn't made of chocolate are these little marzipan roses, which I made myself, and it's really easy though ...

Cookies

Okay, I have to confess, these are some of our Christmas cookies, but these shortcrust pastry cookies filled with jam are soooo good, no matter if there is snow outside or not.

These are little cakes made with ground hazelnuts, apricot jelly and chocolate topping. I made them for my auntie after a long day at work. The recipe is from my grandma and she's been making it for years. I can't think of any family festivity without this cake.
